Seminario sobre el Estigma del VIH e ITS (Dirigido a Estudiantes de Medicina UCM)

El estigma asociado al VIH se refiere a las actitudes negativas, creencias y prejuicios hacia las personas que viven con el virus. Desde los inicios de la epidemia del sida, estos estereotipos se han alimentado de la falta de información, el miedo al contagio y juicios morales sobre prácticas sexuales o hábitos de vida percibidos como “desviados”. Como resultado, a las personas con VIH se les ha señalado como “culpables” de su condición, generando rechazo y aislamiento. Es importante distinguir estigma (actitudes o creencias negativas) de discriminación, que es cuando esas actitudes se traducen en comportamientos perjudiciales hacia las personas con VIH. Lamentablemente, el estigma y la discriminación continúan presentes tanto en la sociedad general como en el ámbito sanitario en España.

Core EU Course: “Mobile Liver Health and Hepatitis Prevention in Vulnerable Populations

This English-language course is aimed at all health and social care professionals participating in the MOBHOPE project across Spain, Croatia and Portugal. It provides a common European framework for training and harmonization, covering key areas such as the objectives of the EU4Health MOBHOPE initiative, viral hepatitis and liver health, the cascade of care and mobile unit operations, stigma and human dignity, harm reduction and mental health integration, as well as monitoring, data protection and the use of REDCap. The course concludes with an evaluation quiz and certification, serving as the EU-level baseline training for all national modules
